About MLCM

Morris Lane Creative Media – why we’re all about communicating experience…

Whether it’s an audio production recorded deep in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, or a media presentation that weaves magical music and audio together into a rich soundscape, Morris Lane Creative Media is the company to bring your ideas and imagination to life

With neighbouring counties such as Berkshire close by, MLCM is primed to deliver quality video and audio – including broadcast TV productions – which can make good use of  the diverse landscape – and people – right here on our doorstep; something which in Berkshire has already been used to good effect with Highclere Castle the chosen location for ITV’s Downton Abbey.

Back in Wiltshire, material for TV and audio broadcasts rub shoulders with our production of business films, business video, and corporate video production.

In fact, corporate video made in Wiltshire by Morris Lane Creative Media makes good use of this varied location, ranging from Swindon’s industrial backdrop, to Salisbury’s cathedral spire and the lush green downland of mid-Wiltshire, its clay lowlands, forests and woodland.

MLCM is definitely well-located to offer our clients plenty of varied scenery!

We offer an endless list of possible creative DVD solutions, with our creative DVD operation a mainstay of our corporate work.

With “creative media” lying at the heart of MLCM’s work, we utilise a raft of design options to suit your particular needs, calling upon the skills of some of the region’s best graphic designers, writers, musicians and creative minds.

Our more recent Devizes-based video productions have included Developing Devizes, a full script to screen project for the Wiltshire Heritage Museum, which as well as demanding budget-conscious film making skills, also required us to oversee scriptwriting, artwork, and graphic design.

(Developing Devizes is still available on DVD from Devizes Books priced £12.99  and is sold in aid of the Wiltshire Heritage Museum.)

This audio journey included interviews and stories and afforded us the chance to  collect a variety of beautiful sounds recorded on location which we mixed into a suitably atmospheric soundscape.

Variety is certainly the keyword here – as well as audio walks, MLCM has been involved in creating  a number of educational film projects – our education-inspired films and educational video have included school prospectuses and websites; an MLCM DVD production was even used to help one Wiltshire school secure £20m of government funding, which three years later saw the building of a brand new school for children in Melksham – a major achievement for the school – and for its part, MLCM.

Gloucestershire is another neighbouring county boasting varied countryside, locations and characters, and home, of course, to the top secret government-run establishment GCHQ.

MLCM hasn’t yet been involved in making anything ‘hush hush’ (just give it time!) but our recent government film work has included a number of top-level, broadcast quality productions for the Swindon-based scientific Research Councils.

We were immensely proud of being asked to make this series of government video shorts – while London-based companies might be handy to central government, those agencies further a field can rely on the professionalism and budget-savvy crews provided by provincial firms such as MLCM.

In Hampshire, MLCM works closely with the New Forest National Park Authority – in the past we have created audio productions that have included interviews with Forest visitors where our team gathered views on the new National Park, to radio-styled programmes reflecting the work of Forest officials such as the Verderers.

One area of work we’re developing is the instructional DVD.  In these economic times it remains important for organisations to continue their training programmes, and the creation of simple, long-lasting cost-effective instructional film and instructional video content can help solve the problem of dwindling training resources.  Combining our experience as trainers and media content providers means we’re well-placed to help find the right solution for your training needs.

Whether it’s simply making a video, or helping you with podcast training, multimedia design – including photography and the creation of audio slideshows – our Wiltshire-based multimedia service means Morris Lane Creative Media is at the centre of one of the best creative pools in the UK and we can easily call upon the skills of a huge raft of experienced and talented individuals at a fraction of the costs charged by many city-based firms.

From a PR company wanting to offer clients better, more effective, value for money presentations, to the press officer hoping to reach out in new ways to a public hungry for fast, accurate news and information, through a well thought out broadcast quality video, MLCM can help provide the solutions you’re looking for.

In addition, with our radio production skills extending into Somerset through the unique Farm Radio Project, and our video work in the south west for the National Trust and firms such as International Paint, Wiltshire based MLCM is primed and ready to deliver some of the best video media and video production services required by busy, budget conscious public and private sector organisations.

Whether you require an online film for a new website design, creative DVD authoring, DVD production or media training, media production in Wiltshire can be found under one roof at Morris Lane Creative Media.
