Team Fredericks – In Control

MLCM’s production of Team Fredericks – In Control, which concludes this week on award-winning satellite channel Horse and Country TV has been a huge success.

20110715-114750.jpgThe programme was responsible for attracting some of the channel’s highest audience figures according to programming chief Jonathan Rippon.

The 12 part series went into production 18 months ago with filming taking MLCM to Germany, Hungary and numerous three day events and horse trials in the UK.

The series centres on Australian Olympic Three Day Eventers Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks and sees them sharing some of their tips to help riders improve their techniques.

MLCM’s first series of equestrian programmes – Team Fredericks – proved to be award-winning Horse and Country TV’s (Sky Ch 280) top rated programme and there was great demand for a second series.

Team Fredericks – In Control went to air in May 2011 – and as well as being eagerly anticipated by fans of the Fredericks, the series was also broadcast by Paris-based equestrian sports channel Equidia – in French of course!

The series was produced to a very tight budget but given Horse and Country TV’s won Best Specialist Channel at the Broadcast Digital Awards in 2011, proves that great television can be produced by companies who work smart, keep their budgets reined in (if you pardon the pun) and are passionate about what they do.

The final episode is to be aired this week on Horse and Country TV’s Sky Channel 280.
