MLCM was invited by International Paint, based in the north east of England, to visit their Newton Ferrer’s laboratory in Devon, to produce a short film for the company’s online magazine Propeller.
Over two days we gathered interviews, general shots and actuality out on the estuary at Newton Ferrers, where for more than 80 years, International Paint has been testing its products in the pure waters of this quiet Devon backwater.
It seemed strange to think that from this somewhat inconsequential spot some of the world’s most successful hull coatings have been refined, helping make ships and boats, large and small, more fuel efficient and kinder to the environment.
