MLCM’s first series of equestrian programmes – Team Fredericks – proved to be award-winning Horse and Country TV’s (Sky Ch 280) top rated programme and there was great demand for a second series.
Team Fredericks - In Control went to air in May 2011 – and as well as being eagerly anticipated by fans of Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks (Australian Olympic three day eventers) the 12 part series was also broadcast by Paris-based equestrian sports channel Equidia – in French of course!
Filming for series two took MLCM to Hungary and Germany, as well as more locally including Barbury International Horse Trials, Hambleton, Wilton and Withington in Gloucestershire.
The series was produced on a very tight budget but given Horse and Country TV’s won Best Specialist Channel at the Broadcast Digital Awards in 2011, proves that great television can be produced by companies who work smart, keep their budgets reined in (if you pardon the pun) and are passionate about what they do.
